ABERDOUR GOLF CLUB GENTLEMAN’S SENIOR OPEN AMATEUR TOURNAMENT

Conditions of Competition
1. The Competition will be over ONE Medal Round played in accordance
with the Rules of Golf and Local Rules as applicable to Aberdour
Golf Club.
2. The Competition will be restricted to male members of recognised
Golf Clubs and who hold current handicaps of 24 or under at the
time of application. Irrespective of any subsequent increase to
the player’s handicap, the maximum handicap allowance is 24.
The entry list will be closed on Tuesday 27 May 2008 at the latest.
Late entries will be accepted only to fill in for cancellations.
3. The competition will have three age sections as follows. 55 to
62 years, 63 to 69 years and 70 + years on the day of the tournament.
4. Entries will not be accepted unless accompanied by an Entry Fee
of £10.00 (incl. of £1 sweep) and must be submitted
to the Match Secretary, Aberdour Golf Club on the official entry
form or the Fife Golfing Association’s Standard Entry Form
with handicap certified by the entrant’s home club.
5. Play will commence at 7.30 am. Competitors are asked to indicate
their preferred starting times and every effort will be made to
accommodate them but, in the event of duplication, times will be
allocated in the order in which the entries are received. Starting
times will be published in the local press and can also be obtained
by phoning 01383 860256. Competitors withdrawing after Saturday
31 May 2008 will forfeit their entry fee. Entry fees are not transferable.
6. The competitor returning the lowest Net Score will hold the Gram
Trophy for one year. The Trophy will be retained by Aberdour Golf
Club.
7. There will be three prizes in each section and one Scratch prize.
No competitor can win more than one prize.
8. In the event of a tie for winning places, winners will be decided
on the basis of a count-back.
9. The Organising Committee reserves the right to reject any entry
or alter or amend any condition and its decision in all disputes
will be final.
10. Snacks, lunches and teas will be available at the Clubhouse.
